Final Portfolio Assessment-Report Card Post

1) Participation
I feel like I always have strip and I am always changed and ready to go. I am always on time and there in class unless I always have a legitimate reason for being away (ex. hit eye with plug and counsellor appointment). I have a wide selection of of clothing with me so if we are doing a certain activity I can wear more appropriate clothing for that specific activity to make me do better. I always put my 100 percent in how much I participate, I only have a few days were I'm off but I'm human and everyone has their days. On choice days I usually go on a walk or I play badminton because I enjoy those activities. I feel like I deserve 24% in this category. 

2) Social Responsibility 
I always am positive myself about all the activities we do, I try to rub off on others. I encourage everyone that its okay if they didn't get like a 10 on the beep test because what matters more is if they know they gave their 100 percent. Whenever groups are made to play something I always throw out ideas of how to make the activity more rewarding for everyone. If we use equipment I always help put it away or set it up. When everyone is setting up for PE you will see me jumping, dancing and moving around constantly. This is to make me excited about what we are embarking on and also pump up my energy as we have PE in the morning. When ever I am asked about how I participate I am always 100 percent honest, if I had an off day I had an off day. That doesn't mean that all my days are like that though. Outside of PE I go on walks with my mom or I go to the YMCA and do some independent working out. I also put on the insanity workout videos and workout in the play room. I feel like I deserve 24% in this category.

3) Healthy Living 
In the past like grade 8 and 9 you can ask Ms.Miles and Mr.Neuf, I was that girl who would wear flats to PE. I never wore strip like EVER. I would hide in the back of the room and do stuff when the teacher was looking. I didn't give .5 of a crap about anything and it was reflected in my grades. I don't know what happened but I heard about Get Fit and how it was a all girls class. I was like "finally I don't have to be with the guys" and I chose that course just get through PE easier. I was so inspired by the athletic kids in our school that I decided to our my 100 percent in this class. My thinking and attitude had also changed drastically since grade 8 and 9 so I actually cared about school in grade 10. Once I chose Get Fit in grade 10 and 11 I changed as a person. Now I'm the girl who does 11 laps on the hill large hill run, 6km in the field run and ran all the running times of the pond run. It would have never predicted this when I was a fetus back in the day. I have changed DRASTICALLY since that time in my fitness level. The only barriers or limitations I have that stop me from giving 100 percent the few times I have include: stress from academics and other drama or Im just having an off day, or I'm exhausted. Other then that I usually try to ignore high school bs and keep my focus on the activities in PE. I eat very healthy, my family makes everything at home and we drink a lot of water. My mom goes to the gym where she has a dietician teach her what to eat and then my mom makes food for us so I feel like we eat heathy. For extra curricular I want to do more because I only go on walks with my mom sometimes so I want to improve on that during the summer. I feel like I deserve 18% in this category. 

4) Digital Portfolio and Reflective Skills
Overall I have 19 blog posts from this year. I like to express my experiences through words, that is my evidence. I try to showcase how I felt at that exact moment so I can motivate myself to want to do even better in the future. My summaries are very detailed and have exactly what I thought in my mind on the screen. I also include how I felt I did in my blog posts. I wish I included goals that I set but I set goals in my mind everyday for everything I do, I do wish however that I added this in my blogs. I feel like I deserve 20 percent on this category.

Balence Board: 6 touches in 30 seconds
Standing Reach: 15
Jumping Reach: 31

I am content with these scores as I have not done any of this testing in forever. I've been able to get 7 or even 8 in the beep test in the past but this is life.

When Get Fit is Over...

I've decided to pursue dance fitness classes at the YMCA over the summer. I have always enjoyed dancing and I would love to pursue this over the summer. I've decided to take Zumba because thats my jam and it makes me feel like a party animal instead of a weight trainer. These classes are drop-in so I don't have to pay and the location is right by my house so I can potentially walk there during the summer. I chose the activity that I did because I love dancing and I feel like I'm good at it. I also want to meet new people and this will help me do so. I feel like I will actually do this as long as work does not keep me too busy.

The time I tried launching an attack: Capture the Flag

We recently played capture the flag outside on a beautiful day. This brought me back to 2011 when I was a fetus and we used to rejoice in this game. Theonly difference  between the game that we played and the game that we played in elementary was that there was no jail in the high school version apparently. Still I was excited because of the emotional attachment to this game. First I was on the pinni side of the game but I got switched over to the shirts side later on. Me and some people from the other team tried to launch attacks on the other team to distract them so we can get their footballs. I ran all the way until the end of the field and continued running because on of my ram members had reached the targeted area but was surrounded by U-Boats. I was screaming the persons name to pass me the ball but it was so late. It was so funny.

The time I basically ran the Sun Run, sort of: Running On the Lower Field

A few centuries ago we ran outside for PE. I decided to buddy up with someone so we can run together. When we were running for 3 minutes I just kept pushing through the pain and discomfort. Then I would completely rest during the 2 minutes of walking. I ran all 7 laps for a total of like 21ish minutes of straight up running. It's like 6km or something like what I feel like a vehicle! I was very proud of myself for having had run an actual distance! It was invigorating!

The time I got hot and had to change: Cardio, Core and Strength

On Friday we did this thin which was a combination of cardio, core and strength. Our group had 4 people so me and Yogita decided to go together. We had to weight sets, a light set and a heavier set. I decided to try and alternate between weights so that it would be a fair workout for both of us. My favorite thing would have to be core because I'm good at it, I like to feel the burn. During cardio I ran and incorporated dance moves for my enjoyment and because I like to pretend that life is a broadway show (or Bollywood movie). I suck most at weight lifting, someday I hope I will like it more but I never enjoy it for some reason. I hope I can change that. I kind of tolerate it which isn't fun. Overall I felt good and disgusting to the point where I had to change my shirt because I was a human oven. Good times.
